Writer Wednesday: Let's talk about Extravaganza

Welcome to Writer Wednesday here at the House. While the uber talented Chris White has been sharing with us the steps on How To Be a Good Writer now ,the belle Bri, (that's me) is going to take the reins and talk about networking, conferences and workshops.

The Idaho Book Extravaganza is a regular conference held in Boise Idaho, Stone House's home base of operation. Stone House Ink is proud to be yet again a sponsor and participant at this year's IBE.




October 28-29th, writers, readers, students, agents, graphic designers, publishers, and authors gather together in Boise ID for workshops, mixers, speaking events, and a trade floor show to name a few.

One of the new features at this years IBE is the Author Mixer. I know what you are thinking feather boa's mix drinks and awkward moments...oh your not. Well then I'll just go straight to the details...

When: Friday October 28. 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Where: Boise Centre, Waters Conference Room

For the public
During IBE you’ll get the opportunity to learn from many of Idaho’s top authors as well as authors from around America in world class workshops. The Author Mixer is your opportunity to meet with the authors face-to-face, network and truly become a part of the writing community. Enjoy author booths, refreshments, no host beverages, book signings, and giveaways. This event is included with the purchase of an All Access Event Pass or if purchased separately with the Author Mixer Pass cost $15.

For the author
As an author this is your opportunity to showcase your hard work! As you know publishing your book is only the first step, next you have to market it to the public. Networking with fellow authors and professionals in the publishing industry is your opportunity to make key relationships to help in this process. Before purchasing your author mixer table please fill out and email (or mail) in your Author Mixer Form.
